Does scaling loosen or weaken teeth?
No. This is the most common myth we hear. Scaling removes tartar, never enamel. Teeth can feel different afterwards simply because the tartar wedged between them is gone.
How often should I have it done?
Every six months for most people. Smokers, paan users and patients with a history of gum disease benefit from every three to four months.
Is it painful?
Rarely. Most patients find it comfortable. If your gums are inflamed we can use local anaesthetic for the sensitive areas.
Will it remove all my stains?
