How long do I have to wear a retainer?
Full time initially, then nightly. Honest answer: indefinitely, if you want the result to hold. Nightly wear is a small habit for a permanent outcome.
Fixed or removable?
Fixed wires sit behind the front teeth and cannot be forgotten. Removable trays cover more teeth and are easier to clean. Many patients use both.
My teeth already moved. Can you help?
Sometimes. Minor relapse can occasionally be recovered with a short aligner course. Come in and we will tell you honestly which it is.
Can you replace a retainer from another clinic?
Yes. We scan your current position and make a new one. You do not need to have had your braces here.
How much is a replacement retainer?
It depends on the type, fixed or removable, and whether you need one arch or both. Confirmed at your visit.
What if it stops fitting?
